Are you a beginning golfer? Do you struggle with your fairway woods? You can learn to hit your woods better with a few simple drills and steps. Read on to find out how to hit your fairway woods better.

The first thing you need to do is practice more with your 3 and 5 woods. Typically golfers make it a habit to avoid the clubs they don't hit well. This is because they don't have a lot of confidence in these clubs so they just don't want to practice with them. These are the clubs you need to practice with most and if these are your fairway woods, then start hitting more balls with them.

Once you have established a mental need to practice with your woods you can start with this drill. Start by teeing the ball up so that half of it is above the club head when you set it behind the ball. Hit off this high of a tee until you feel comfortable hitting the club.

Next, lower the tee a little and continue until you feel comfortable. Continue lowering the tee until you have it all the way into the ground and you are basically hitting off the ground. The last thing you will do is actually hit the ball off the ground with your 3 and 5 woods. You will need to practice a lot so that you will get used to hitting your fairway woods off the ground.

Learning to hit your fairway woods can be a difficult task if you are a beginners, but it is very important that you learn to. Take your time and practice a lot, then you will have a new set of weapons in your golfing arsenal.
